Maybe you are yearning for a deeper sense of life purpose. Or perhaps you want to feel more self-confident and less overwhelmed and stressed. You might be tired of “going through the motions,” feeling bored and half-awake at best, and are ready to experience being inspired and vibrantly alive!
If so, here is a process that you can use to clarify your sense of purpose in life.
Uncover Your Life Purpose
- Choose and Prepare: There are two ways to do this first process. If you like to write, then pick out a special notebook or journal. If, on the other hand, you are a “gatherer,” choose a container about the size of a shoe box.
- Collect and Capture: Commit for the next thirty days to either write in your journal or collect in your box anything that grabs your attention and interest. Consider blog posts, websites, magazine or newspaper articles, comments you overhear people say in conversation, stories in the news, the titles of books you are attracted to, the names of songs or pieces of music you are drawn to, or names of people that intrigue you. Capture anything that gives you energy or that fascinates or piques your curiosity.
- Review and Summarize: After thirty days, review your notes or your “collection” and see if there are any themes or common threads that emerge. These will give you clues to your purpose in life.
